The Library Advisory Committee, handpicked by the principal, acts as the captain’s council for our library. They play a crucial role in several key areas:

  • Charting the Course: The LAC maps out and implements policies that ensure the library runs smoothly and keeps evolving, fostering a dynamic space for learning.
  • Ensuring Smooth Sailing: The LAC holds the library accountable for delivering on its services and responsibilities.
  • Championing Progress: The LAC acts as a vocal advocate for the library’s growth plans, actively securing the resources and support it needs from the school administration. Through this teamwork, they ensure the library can continuously improve and serve the community effectively.

We are delighted to announce the formation of the LAC for the 2024-2025 academic year. Led by our esteemed Principal Sir, the LAC will be instrumental in guiding the library’s development and ensuring its smooth operation – all to ultimately benefit our valued students and faculty.

DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS OF THE LIBRARY ADVISORY COMMITTEE

The Library Advisory Committee (LAC) serves as a trusted advisor, providing the library with crucial guidance in several key areas:

  • Future Forward: The LAC maps out a clear vision for the library’s future, defining its long-term goals and overall direction.
  • Building the Right Collection: The LAC plays a central role in shaping the library’s collection. They ensure the library acquires materials that are relevant, up-to-date, and meet the needs of its users.
  • Embracing Innovation: The LAC keeps a close eye on the latest advancements in technology, networking, and library automation. By staying informed about these trends, they guide the library to effectively utilize new tools and resources in its day-to-day operations.
  • Creating a Dynamic Learning Hub: The LAC advocates for the development of the library’s infrastructure, facilities, materials, and services. Through strategic planning, they ensure the library remains a well-equipped and dynamic space for learning and exploration.
  • Listening to the Users: The LAC values user input and actively seeks suggestions from library patrons. This feedback loop allows them to tailor services and resources to best meet the needs of the community.
  • Building a Strong Collection: The LAC plays a key role in crafting and implementing a comprehensive policy for developing and selecting library materials. This policy ensures the collection remains current, diverse, and reflects the evolving needs of its users.

IMIRC College Of Law is affiliated to CCS university, Meerut (U.P.) and approved by Bar Council of India, recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC). It was founded in 2010.
